Debra is the publisher of Idylls Press, the small press she founded in 2004 with the mission of publishing new and classic Catholic fiction. The press’s motto is “Publishing the Catholic Imagination.” Idylls Press also publishes the book and film review sites bardolatry.com, catholicfiction.net and catholicmoviesonline.com.

Debra’s own first novel, The Mystery of Things, is a mystery thriller set in a graduate Shakespeare Studies program. Her current fiction project is a mystery set in Ashland, Oregon, home of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.
