Matthew Lickona writes regularly on assorted subjects for The San Diego Reader, a weekly newspaper, and is the author of Swimming with Scapulars: True Confessions of a Young Catholic (Loyola Press). He is a graduate of Thomas Aquinas College, and lives in La Mesa, California with his wife Deirdre and their five children.
