RE: For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son...
How immense is God's love for us !!! " No greater love than this, than for one to give up his life for a friend. " Love is the reason Jesus died for us, so to gain eternal life with Him in His Kingdom! Loving our neighbor is loving God Himself. " Whatever you do to the least of your brethren, you did it to Me. " says Jesus. God bless us all.

RE: Whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me
Yes, " The way to heaven is narrow and full of thorns; wide and easy is the way that leads to destruction." Jesus has shown us the way to Heaven, by taking up our crosses daily, be it big or small crosses, bearing it to Calvary like He did, so we too will rise with Him in the Easter of our lives! Detachment from the world and its grandeur brings us closer to the Lord, filling our hearts with genuine joy and peace! God bless us all!

RE: Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.
" Look at the lillies of the fields, the birds in the air, they never sow nor reap, nor gather into barns, yet even solomon in all his glory, was not arrayed like one of these." says our Lord. " Or who among you would give your child a stone if he asks for bread...you know what to give to your children, how much more for your Father in heaven; O men of little faith..." Trusting in our Lord's Providence and Love will see us through in whatever trials in life we encounter. " Seek first God's kingdom and all things will be given unto you. " God bless us!

RE: What’s Behind the New Interest in Confession?
God's Love and Mercy is bigger than our sins. The Sacrament of Confession or Reconciliation makes us whole and pure again. A truly repentant sinner never loses hope in God's Mercy and Love, like St. Peter did, who repented after denying Jesus three times and was forgiven. As St. Faustins said in her dairy as revealed to her, God's Mercy is an ocean, yes, more than enough to erase our sins and guilt. God bless us!!!

RE: Struggling with the Rosary
" To Jesus through Mary " ! How blessed we are to have Mother Mary intercede for us to Her Divine Son! What joy to know that we get closer to the Lord through Mama Mary who is closest to His Heart! My kids are grown up and we missed praying the Rosary together as a family. Am thankful that we could pray the Rosary together as a family in special occasions when they come home. Am reminded of a story to illustrate how Mama Mary intercedes for us. John died one day and as he knocks at the Heaven's door, St. Peter won't let him in. As St. Peter closes the door, he went back inside, and much to his surprise, he saw John inside! So he asked him how he came in and John replied, " Mama Mary opened the back door for me! " -------" O Mary conceived without sin, Pray for us who have recoursed to Thee." God bless us!!!

RE: Tax collectors and sinners are entering the kingdom of God before you
To acknowledge our unworthiness and sinfulness before God, brings us Forgiveness from His bountiful Ocean of Mercy! It's when we become lax or too confident in our spiritual lives,( like the Pharisee who says, " I thank you Lord for i am not like the tax collectors who sins..." ), that we become more vulnerable to occasions of sin. Humility in a truly repentant sinner is the key to God's Mercy and Forgiveness, thereby making us more cautious and strong to avoid every occasions of sin. God bless us!!!

RE: Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.
In God alone can our souls find rest. In the Sacrament of Reconciliation we find rest from the burden of our sins and guilt. What heavenly joy to have been forgiven again by our Lord Jesus! St. Fr. Pio, Pray for us !!!

RE: My Soul Proclaims the Greatness of the Lord
The Magnificat is truly a proclamation of God's awesome greatness, love, kindness, justice, mercy. In itself is a beautiful " poetry " prayer from our Blessed Virgin Mary; sings praises to our Lord in his Majesty ! Short as it is, this prayer brings with it generations of God's loving Presence revealed to men; His love made known until eternity! No wonder like the rest, this is also one of my favorite prayer! " My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour ... ! " Praise our God!

RE: The Joy of Nada—Doing Nothing for Lent
It really takes lots of " will power " to get away from this electronically " messy " world, to find precious time for solitude, time with God alone, in order for us to hear clearly His voice especially during this holiest time of the year. Distractions are all over us ! It takes prayer and the decision to really set a date and time to respond to Jesus' invitation , a call to love Him. Have a blessed Lent everyone!

RE: Christian Witness in the Aftermath of Hate
The Holy Eucharist! I truly believe in Jesus' Presence in the Eucharist; Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity! Like when the Apostles proclaimed before they recognized Jesus after the Resurrection, " Weren't our hearts burning in His Presence? " I can say that my heart was " burning " everytime i receive Him in the Holy Eucharist. My restless disposition transformed into joyful, loving tranquility; am strengthened again and again to face each new day at home and at work. I need not search for Him anywhere, in any discussions, belief or unbelief, for i have already found Him personally as He touched the very core of my being in the Holy Eucharist! God bless us !!!
